“Think before you speak!” This was probably the best advice that I ever received from my mother. Of course being 8 years old and hearing it did not mean as much as it does now at 24. I have learned the hard way. I think this is something that everyone can really use though. On one hand, I cannot tell you how many times I have held my tongue in certain instances just because I was given this advice. On the other hand, I cannot tell you how many times I wish I did think before I spoke. I would have sounded so much smarter. Sometimes when you just say what is on the top of your mind you can hurt someone's feelings without even trying. I have made many mistakes in the past, but nothing haunts me more than my own word. The words that you speak are the only thing in this life that can really define you. Of course you have to back it up with your carecter. The Bible says that out of the abundance if the heart the mouth speaketh….Sometimes we sound so much more intelligent by saying nothing at all. If I have said anything that is offensive to anyone….No harm was meant. I probably did not think before I spoke….Sometimes the hardest thing and the right thing are the same. I think that in life we tend to try to take the “easy” way or what we think to be the easy way and it does not work.

Quotes and Sayings....
I have alot to actually write about but I dont have the time to do it right now...I did want to post something so I can keep my word (Josh and Steve) and update my blog this weekend (even though it`s over already.)
I Love quotes and Sayings so I figured I would start a blog and keep it going with new ones. The one for this week is:
"Our deepest fear is not that we are inadequate. Our deepest fear is that we are powerful beyond measure. It is our light, not our darkness, that most frightens us. We ask ourselves, who am I to be brilliant, gorgeous, talented and fabulous? Actually, who are you not to be? You are a child of God. Your playing small does not serve the world. There's nothing enlightened about shrinking so that other people won't feel insecure around you. We are all meant to shine, as children do. We were born to make manifest the glory of God that is within us. It's not just in some of us; it's in everyone. And as we let our own light shine, we unconsciously give other people permission to do the same. As we're liberated from our own fear, our presence automatically liberates others." - A Return to Love: Reflections on the Principles of A Course in Miracles by Marianne Williamson, 1992
What do you think about that? Do you have one to post? Let me know.

03.29.03 @ 3:29pm
March 29th 2003 @ 3:29pm (ironic?) I was in a horrible car accident. I thought I was dead. I was in the hospital for 6 days. I am reminded of this day everyday. I have a plate in my arm. The doctors told me that I would never have full use of my arm. It was rough for the first 2 years and I was weak. Within the last year I have had full use of my left arm and it is stronger than ever! (Did you get your tickets to the gun show yet???) (= Just kidding but really God has blessed me and 4 years ago today God spared my life for a reason and He has shown me little by little why He did. I know that I don't always live like I should but that is between me and God and I thank him everyday for The people and the circumstances in My life over the past 24 years. I realize now more than ever that life is way too short; I read a great poem over Christmas/New Years of 06 It said.....
Life is too short
Grudges are a perfect waste of happiness
Laugh when you can
Apologize when you should
And let go of what you can't change
Love deeply and forgive quickly
Take chances, Give everything
And have no regrets
Life is too short to be unhappy
You have to take the good with the bad
Smile when you're sad
Love what you've got and remember what you had
Always forgive but never forget
Learn from your mistakes but never regret
People change and things go wrong
But always remember life goes on
Life is too short to wake up in the morning with regrets
So love the people who treat you right
Forget the ones who don't
And believe that everything happens for a reason
If you get a chance, take it
If it changes your life, let it
Nobody said that it would be easy
They just promised that it would be worth it.
I had a good amount of time at the end of 2006 to really just get by myself and find out just who I was and what I am made of. I am nothing without the Grace of God. And to any of you that prayed/ Pray for me. You are the reason I can say what I am right now. Thank You.I hope that in someway you can look back in your life and remember a time I was there for you and maybe even helped you. If you cant maybe I can in the future. I dont want to be well known, I am not after riches, I just want to help people and know that as insignificant life can seem at times, If I help one person in my lifetime be a better person, I made a difference in this world. I am everyone's friend but I don't let many people get close to me and I like it that way so…
"So love the people who treat you right
Forget the ones who don't"
Many people will walk in and out of your life, but only true friends will leave footprints in your heart. To handle yourself use your head; to handle others use your heart. Anger is only one letter short of danger. If someone betrays you once, it's their fault; if they betray twice it your fault. Great minds discuss ideas; average minds discuss small events; small minds discuss people. He, who loses money, loses much; he who loses a friend loses much more; he who loses faith loses all. ..Beautiful young people are accidents of nature, but beautiful old people are works of art. learn from the mistakes of others. You can't live long enough to make them all yourself. Friends you and me…..you brought another friend ….and then there were three…we started a group….our circle of friends…and like that circle…there is no beginning or end….yesterday is history. Tomorrow is a mystery. Today is a gift, that's why they call it the present -UNKNOWN

Dog Bite
Wow yesterday was an eventful day. I went to a house in South Holland, IL ( Not the best area) When I got to the door a teenage kid came to the door, I asked if his mom was around so he said hold on and he closed the door. A few seconds later another kid came to the door to ask me who I was. I told him my name and where I was from next thing you know I heard a bark and a HUGE German Shepherd ran through the broken screen door and clamped down as hard as he could on my right calf!!I tried to kick him off me so i kicked his right leg, All it did was turn around and jump up and bite down on my left thigh. Bothe bruised and bled. So I called my boss. I had to go to an emergency clinic. They cleaned up. Put a butterfly on it, Gauze all that stuff and gave me a tetnus (sp?) shot. Then told me I have to file a report with the police. So i went to the police staion gave my statement and all that. I had to follow the cop to the house where I was bit. He went in and came back out and said she had no proof of any kind of vaccines or shots for the dog. Also no tags etc. So she was going to get alot of tickets from the city as well as her dog taken away. I left called the doctor back. he gave me an antibiotic, tylenol 3 and a really good pain killer but also old me I will more than likely need the rabies vaccine shot (There is a hug shortage due to the was in Iraq) It is 5 shots in the stomach. I said ok. I ave to follow up within 10 days. Well around 10:00 I got a phone call from a 708 Number. I never answer if I dont know the number but I did this time. it was the police department...Apparently before animal control went to pick up the dog there was a kid walking by that house and the dog ran out and bit this kids arm pretty good so they called me to come in and sign some stuff to deem the dog as a danger and vicious animal. WOW! what a crazy day! If you want more details call me and I will tell you the whole story. #1 I am not good at writing and #2 I just dont feel like typing. LOL :) Thanks for your comments. I will keep you updated.
